If you’re an adult, especially if you’re new to being an adult, you need to start being aware of how your interactions with minors will affect them. It doesn’t matter if you still feel like a teenager and it doesn’t matter if your underage friends are super duper mature in your conversations with them. As an adult, it is up to you to place boundaries and not cross them for the sake of keeping the minors in your life safe. It is up to you to know what is and isn’t appropriate to say and do to them. Please think critically about the way you interact with minors and don’t hassle them, pressure them, or make them feel unsafe for any reason under any circumstances. You’re the adult. You should know better.

i honest to god can’t stress how important it is to support authors of colour. white authors are NEVER going to be able to captures the experience of a person of colour in an authentic way and it will be flawed whether they had good intentions or not. support authors of colour because that is where you will get the best rep. if you’re looking for good rep of a certain marginalised group and you turn to someone outside of that group for a good, authentic retelling of their experiences you will inevitably be disappointed by the outcome. turning to white people should not be the first thing you do when looking for good diverse rep that is absolutely the last place you should be going

I can’t believe the first time I ever see my country trending on tumblr is because of this devastating explosion. We are not okay. Lebanon was already going through unprecedented hyperinflation, poverty and corruption among many other humanitarian crises. Petitions have little to no effect here and donations would probably go to our corrupt government. This is suffocating.

Anyways donate to the red cross in Beirut to help the wounded from that aweful explosion. Lebanon has a corrupt government and any strange donation links could just be handing money to the goverment. The red cross is safe and is a guaranteed way of helping those affected by the explosion.
